Sarah Underbrink, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker –
Therapy in Dallas, TX

I knew from a very young age (13 years old to be exact!) that I wanted to help people by being a therapist which at that time I thought was called “the couch person”. I have always been captivated by people’s life stories because I believe behind your story is the key to unlock someone else’s prison.

I have had my share of personal experiences with anxiety, trauma, and witnessed loved ones around me struggle with their own battles with mental health issues leading to my passion to bring hope in the most desperate of seasons.

“Why do I need services for mental health?”

Sometimes as we go through difficult seasons personally or in our relationships in life, dark thoughts begin to arise: “How did I get here?”, “I don’t know how much longer I can do this.”, “What’s the point in trying anymore”, and it goes on. Being lost in these questions and the darkness can be so consuming that we reach a point to where we don’t even recognize the person in the mirror anymore. I am here to tell you, you don’t have to fight that agonizing fight alone. I want to turn this dark season of life to illumination of purpose uncovering truth and strength.

Your Mental Health

My joy of therapy is witnessing that revelation moment as you or your relationship grasp the breakthrough you’ve been striving for. There is no greater honor than to be just a small part of that unveiling. It is my belief that it is not my job to provide you the answers because it is all within you, it is only my role to empower and guide the curiosity.

I am here to follow your lead; not the other way around. You are the author of your story, I am only here to hear your testimony with an open heart. The struggles of life are meant to refine us, so let’s courageously walk into the refiner’s fire together as we witness chains fall and freedom unleash.
